And I thought baseball cards were hard to keep perfect, I've always known the minty shine of a near perfect piece of cardboard. This piece has been in my possession for 35 years. When I was little, I had a neighbor that worked for coke.

He always talked of the differences of reaching out making something available, as opposed to sticking it where everyone will view it. He collected so many great items. I helped him with weekend sales for a month or two. Of this sign alone; he had 17, each as perfect as the next. He started feeling better :0.

At the end of his last sales, he gave me this and said start cleaning up and you can start working off a nice frame. He made some serious cash and handsomely paid me with some beautiful pieces of history.

His stories were even more priceless as he spoke of a different time (this was the 80's, imagine his thoughts now) when you had to go out and connect with the customer, build trust and been SEEN. Novel concept, he always said, give them what they want within your limits and they will follow. YOU WILL NOT FIND ANYTHING 75 YEARS OLD, IN BETTER CONDITION!!!!! Give them what they want!!!!!!!!!!

I always been a huge fan of Spriteboy, the little fella tips his cap to the Coke visitors. This WWII era litho print tavern sign. Maker is Snyder & Black Inc.
