For the Discerning Coke, or Train, collector. Extremely rare PROMO 1928 AMERICAN FLYER 6073 MECHANICAL TRAIN SET "PURE AS SUNLIGHT" COKE. Considered by many to be the one of the most desirable and difficult to find train sets of its era. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Firstly, the set consists of 5 cars including 2 litho passenger cars, 1 baggage car, 1 coal tender, and 1 mechanical wind-up engine. The set as a whole is dirty and needs cleaning up but I don't want to risk damaging any finishes and will leave that to the new owner.

The 3 litho cars have some scratching consistent with playwear related to toys this old. They all retain a bright lively appearance with minimal paint loss. Overall, once cleaned up these should rate out at C-7+(Very Good to Excellent Played With).

The mechanical engine winds and drives the front wheels but I would recommend having it cleaned and adjusted by an expert. Paint wise, the engine still retains good gloss(although dirty). The #120 spotlight coal tender is the weakest item of the five. As a set I would conservatively rate these items as good to very good overall based on age and rarity. One of the passenger car hitch tabs needs to be reattached as shown in the last photo. Could not find much info.
