Coca Cola Coke 20 Embossed Christmas Display Bottle with Original Box
This promotional bottle was offered to bottlers in 1928 as an exact reproduction of the 6 ounce bottle Patd Dec. This bottle, referred to as the Christmas Bottle, is in very good displayed condition. It has a tiny nick in the lip area as pictured. There are a few surface marks or scratches on the bottle which has not been cleaned or washed out.
The bottle is embossed on both sides with the Coca Cola script logo. One side under the CC logo is embossed Trade Mark Registered Bottle Patd Dec. The other side, in the same location, is embossed Trade Mark Registered Min. The 6 diameter bottle bottom has a rough separated mold spot.
Embossed in the center of the mold spot is a large diamond shape logo with a capital I in its center. Im not really sure but I think this is the mark of the Illinois glass company which first made these bottles for the Coca Cola Company back in the late 20s and later in the 1930s.
