Large Rare Antique 1942 WWII US Army Nurse Corps, Drink Coca Cola Cardboard Sign.. The last owner of this rare, large 26 ½" by 55 3/8" drink Coca Cola Sign, had it properly mounted under Plexiglass with a copper gilded metal frame.

In the middle of this Sign is a young pretty, US Army Nurse, drinking a bottle of Coke. When searching for this sign on the net, we found that Coca Cola offered free beverages to the Soldiers, which also conveniently enabled them to avoid sugar-rationing laws. In the other corner it reads Litho in U.

This Sign is in amazing condition, and the cardboard retains its original gloss surface. There are a couple of problems. One is some tiny white marks to the young lady's forehead, and just to the right of her nurse's cap. Above the Army Tents is a 5 ½ long line that looks like a thin crayon mark. There also are a couple of other scattered small marks, as well as a crinkle fold to the upper right hand corner. This fold is difficult to see without the light hitting it just right. I can easily grade this rare 1942 Coke Sign's condition as 9+ out of 10. If you search the internet hard enough you will find one other example of this WWII Sign, and it is not for sale. You will find that it is listed without any reserve. We list quality antiques, art and collectibles every day with no reserve!
